Inspired by Albino Raven

And Kyu's post on facebook, where he introduced me to Glen Brogan (Albino Raven).
I decided to give my design skills a work out and - I'm rusty as hell. But I got a bit sick of the realism spree I was on. so I'm trying to get back in it.

That's ok. I'll keep trying.

Improvement Meme...

That I totally stole from Phobs on deviantart.

2009 - Beginnings of fourth year first attempt, and first attempts at digital painting. Mostly lines with some colour ontop.

2010 - Got some cel shading in there, became much more vastly interested in storyboarding, which soon died out.

2011 - resigned to freelance, discovering more about design and the intricacies of digital painting and lighting effects. Of course it's just cats and ladies still though. I can't change that much.

2012 - realization that all of my favourite characters are blonde or ginger women.

Bonus: Here's a drawing I Did when I was 4.

It reads: I like spring because I like butterflies.

I wasn't very eloquent, but I guess you can't expect too much from a 4 year old.

INSPIRATION DAYS: Tezcatlipoca by Robin George

I wanted to start something, where I post something inspirational every week or so to get your brain juices flowing. It'll usually be animation or art related, but if I find something else that gets my clock ticking, I'll post that too!

I wanted to showcase a student film that blew me away the first time I saw it, and yesterday I was doing some related research and I started watching it again! This is a student film by Robin George a graduate of Southern Adventist University's School of Visual Art and Design.

I don't really want to say too much because it'll take away from what you think, so without further ado, here is Tezcatlipoca, by Robin George.
