I was drawing my cat as some research, and aside from loving how cute he was, I think these turned out well.
They were done with a broad flat brush, and dry ink on cue cards (they're very useful, those, you can storyboard on them, paint on them, use them as note keepers, as actual cue cards, turn them into paper airplanes....etc etc)
I really love the second one!! My cat gets into poses like that when he stars scratching stuff.
